The Thugs are a type of human enemy that appears in N.O.V.A 3 in the Hourglass and Eye of the Storm levels.

History

Thugs were convicts and mercenaries that escaped imprisonment from Boreas and took control of the area. They freed prisoners from surrounding prisons and increased their territory. Since Boreas was neutral the dominion did nothing about this.

When Kal Wardin was teleported to Boreas, he met the thugs and fought against them. These thugs were led by the Thug Boss. When Rufus arrived to help Kal Wardin, the thugs retreated from there.

It is unknown what happened to the thugs after that. Some sayings claimed that they all died in the sandstorm. Considering that Boreas is not a planet that is suitable for humans to survive, if there is any thug who survives in the sandstorm, they will probably evetually die one by one in the foreseeable future.

Combat

Thugs use Assault Rifles in the Close range combat and Sniper Rifles and Rocket Launchers in long ranged combat. They take cover but can be hit when in cover. They are very easy to kill; it just takes about one hit from a Shotgun to finish them. Overall they look a lot like the Infected Marines.

Thugs are human males that wear camouflaged suits similar to that of modern day desert forces. They wear boots, Bulletproof vests, Red bandanas, and protection on the elbows and knees.
